Had a fun day on bear lake today. Fished the rockpile in about 55 ft of water. Standard white tub with cisco. On the big laker, broke the line at the reel on hook set and was lucky enough to grab the line before it went down the hole and fought this fish for 15 minutes hand line style. Brought him all the up and through the whole hand lining. Some days you just get lucky i guess. My biggest laker ever. Was 35 inches. Dont know the weight. Any guesses anybody? The nice cut was 25 inches that my buddy caught. Both went back down the hole for the next guy to catch.

It depends on if you squeezed the tail to measure or not,
But take length x it by girth then take that number x it again by girth, then take that number and multiply by 800!
That is its weight, give er take a pound!

I would say 13-14 lbs

Don't multiply by 800, divide by 800

Nice fish, no doubt about it. Nice and long. Not much in girth department. I agree with cutthroat guy. I'd give it 12 or 13 pounds. Give him 5 or 8 years and he'll be a brusier. Caught lots of 35" fish out of Bear Lake that barely broke ten pounds.

Bear Lake laker's are long and lean.

Awesome fish. Still may be a fish of a lifetime. My dad has been fishing there for over fifty years and has still never caught a mac that big. He has some bad juju on him or something.
