Full Version: Deadwater's Last Day?

Looks like Deadwater might be DOA today. Perhaps the biggest news is that the river's turbidity might not take the normal hit this year. A very credible long-time observer told us the river yesterday was surprisingly clear. The thinking is that most of the ice chunks and slabs have already passed the remaining small ice bridge without jamming into the bottom of the river like they normally tend to do.

The Missoula NWS says Saturday and Sunday are going to be mostly sunny with a Saturday high of 34 and a Sunday high of 39.

That's good news! Heading up there on the 13th and don't want to deal with cloudy water. Thanks for the info.

Headed up Friday and Saturday, any fresh reports of river conditions?

Thanks for the info. We've stayed at the village before and are staying again this weekend. Rooms are very comfortable and reasonable, and the burgers are fantastic. Maybe we timed the trip just right this year, we can usual only make one trip a year and it seems our timing is never very good. Wish us luck and I'll post a report when we get back.

Awesome! Thanks for your post. Yeah, they are bustin' butt to serve their customers "the right way" there. When you get there, be sure and tell Kendra and Tam about our "conversation" here on BFT. They aren't yet on BFT and I think they should be. Give 'em a rep for BFT. Tam runs North Fork Fly and she's got local steelhead flies wired. I think they should be here postin' on their own with their own account, so give 'em a push to support BFT.

Have a GREAT upcoming weekend and MANY Happy Fishin' Cheers! jp
