I had the pleasure of John Hughes company on the very windy water today. First hour or so of light was OK, then somebody turned the fan on.

But we found some hidey holes and squeaked out quite a few more crappie today than what I found Saturday. We had lots a short crappie, and several misc. species... but managed a dozen good slabs and a bonus bass. John was really just looking for a "trolling lesson" so everything went back to fight another day. Not a bad day considering we were very limited on where we could fish.

Here lately I'm finding most of my crappie in 10-14 feet of water And while I'm partial to red/chartreuse tube jigs... blue glitter flake/chartreuse produced for me this weekend.

I am LOVIN' the new G3 Angler V170 and my Minn Kota i-Pilot! emoHeart emoHeart emoHeart

Still a huge learning curve ahead for my Humminbird 898 HD SI... but I'm figuring a few things out.
