I haven't been out since last fall. Any advice on where to go and what to use would be awesome. PM if necessary. Would be departing from Ogden.

Thanks,

Justin

replied to your PM, let me be more specific. inlet side of rockport, along the steep drop offs, find where its a little deeper near the ice, use ice cream cones (go to anglers den and ask for them they have some, just bought 165 from them today). cast out and SLOWLY strip your line. strip in about 1/2 inch per pull. you basically just want your nymohs to move and thats it, try to stay as close to the bottom as possible. if that does not work throw streamers as close to the shelf as you can. if nothing there head to the river

Holy crap, I don't think I have ever used that many in my whole life! Is the ammo hoarding rubbing off?[laugh]

You are just casting the Chironomids on a floating line and stripping them in? No indy like we use? I can see this with a fast sink line, which is another option to through in there (Type VII). You are the Trout magnet little bro...go get um'

right now i coil and grease the front 2 feet of my line, like a euro indicator, once things get deeper ill switch to a fixed indicator, than when i meet you and the hubby up north during summer, ill go slip rig all the way

Me and Three other guys fished the Weber River yesterday morning . we caught around 60 fish in a one mile radius .
i was throwing orange Salmon egg patter and a red san juan worm dropper. I caught 20 or more fish alone . my buddies were throwing small grey nymphs and that seemed to be working just as well.
Good Luck!!
