Since the hard deck is coming to a close I think it's only fitting to let her go out with a bang and get all the crazies who dare venture on the ice the chance to brag one last time. I know a lot of us are itching for the soft water, but there are a lot of us that hate to see it go. It's not a contest just a recap of the season. Post your best and lets see if we can extend the ice just a little longer!

I feel like I've barely been on the ice, and it's almost gone. Shortest but hottest was a quickie for slabs.
And my bass coulda ate your bass! [:p]

Though I won't bother posting any troutses, cuz next to YOUR toads . . . it ain't over YET!

Best day was a perch-fest. Got a chance for my boy to nab more than a limits worth, so yeah- busy fishing!

I'm a lazy wimp in the winter, so I stayed indoors. These are some of my best for the winter however.

My best on the ice this year.

Nice pig!

This one was my best for this year, and all other years of ice fishing. I think I may have been converted back to trout.

Thanks! Now that it isn't so frigid in my workshop I'm going to work on doing some more 2 color laminates. It's a much trickier process when it's cold.

Do you mean converted from bass to trout?
[signature]
I started out fishing only trout until I realized how much better tasting panfish were. After catching something like this though, I think I might be spending more time trying to catch more lakers than perch.

Whew! For a Minute there I thought your soul was in jeopardy.

Bass over trout any day!

My best of the entire ice season?

Yep didn't catch a single trout through it all. [Smile]

Now if I can just make it through the rest of the year that way. [fishin]

Nice eye
[signature]
HOLY **** that is the fattest eye I've ever laid eyes on LOL. I got some faaat ones last summer at 6 and to albs but wooow! Bass with that kinda girth I can catch but eyes? Nice job!

Nice plastics! While you were making those, I was pitching them into the water from Nov to now. Since jan 1 landed 3 over 5 lbs so far with a bunch from 2 to 4 lbs. This one was 5 lb 11oz on the digital and 20 1/4in. Camera froze right after the picture since it was like 15 degrees. Hand stuck to bail every cast. Entire spool of line crystalized into icy slush. That plfueger reel keep going though, lol. Even I don't land that many over 20in even during prime May bed time. I will quit trying for bass come June lol. Oh and yes, I know everyone is wondering, but sorry, I was fishing at lake katchabigun.
