Talked to a budy of mine in Orofino and he says that they have set the season. No adult salmon can be kept and that you can only keep one clipped jack a day. OUCH!!!!!!

Wonder when the heck the IDFG is gonna fill us in on this info?

Its not set in stone yet. from what i just read they are going to play everything by ear adjust the rules as the fish move in to the area. you have to remember fish and games track record for predicting the salmon run too. here's the article i just read.

That acticle looks a little more promising than my buddies comments. My friend owns a tackle shop in Orofino and attended that meeting. His comments were that he was not even going to keep his shop open for Salmon season because it wouldn't be worth it. I hope the numbers come in stronger than they think. Those folks in that area rely a lot on us fisherman and what we pour into their economy. And I only have a couple packages left of last years salmon, I'm going to miss it!
