Fished a couple spots on the lower Weber yesterday. Water is very muddy now. Fishing was slow at the first spot, caught 4 in about 3 hours. Moved upstream a few miles and picked up 4 more in about a half hour. Picked up a really nice 18" cutty. Looks like there are a few nice cutts in that section too. I tried to take a picture with my new smart phone, but the big guy fliped out of my net. I did manage one pic before he swam off, but it wasn't a very good one.

beautiful fish! I love it when you first realize you don't have a whitey on the line and it only gets better when you see a nice cutty! (not that I don't love browns too)
I have noticed that the mountain green area is muddy but as you go upstream to the morgan area it clears way up

Thanks. I did notice the clarity was better upstream. Wondering if this is why the fishing was better.

That very well could be, however, if you adjust your techniques to the muddy conditions you can do quite well! I always think big and flashy or san juany ha

I agree. I tried san jauns, big princes, red copper johns, pink scuds with a little flash, etc. I literally fished my ars off.

Ha I hate those days. But you wouldn't enjoy the good days as much without them!
