Bought a Abu Garcia yesterday. Just noticed the off set rings. Looks like the 5th and 6th rings should be swapped. Or is this some purpose built design?

If that rod had an "Inspected by #28" tag with it, #28 ought to get retrained - or fired.

Well crazy thing is, I went back to bass pro. I checked out g looms, st croix, bass pro, and others. They all have an off set rings similar to my pic. Some worse others not so bad. Interisting. Shimano was the only one not bad at all.

It will function ok with out changing it out, its not one of the critical eyelets. The only thing is some minor redused casting ability. so long at that rod is not intended for bass tournament fishing you will be ok.
tho this dose prove the willingness of cheep labor to do as they are told with out questioning anything. American manufactures could not get away with that.
