Good afternoon my name is Chris. I've been living in Idaho now for about a year. I have moved here from Utah and am very excited to be finding new fishing spots in the Treasure Valley. Would love to hear of anyone's spots if they wanna share. Thanks

Welcome Chris! CJ Strike is red hot for bass right now, large and smallmouth, crankbaits (hot lips and bandits). Big perch in the Bruneau. Good luck . . Dale

Welcome to BFT. It might help if you gave some details on what you are looking for.
What kind of fishing do you like to do? Do you have a boat or float tube? How far away are you willing to travel?
CJ Strike has already been mentioned. It is a good area for a variety of fish.
If you have kids, there are lots of community ponds in your area. The Boise River is good too.
Good luck.

Any fishing to be honest! I have been fishing at Lowell.I've been to CJ when the ice was on, and Bruneu in the summer. I am have off Wednesdays and am willing to travel up to 2 hrs or so. I need to know what spots to fish at CJ and Swan Falls. I have float tubes and a 11-1/2' Jon boat but need to overhaul my motor. I have done well on the Boise river area, including the cement ponds, clock tower ponds and so on.... I want to hit up Eagle Island and some areas on the snake. I love to catch big trout and big bass.

Welcome to BFT Idaho!! The ponds around the valley and in Emmett should be coming on with this warmer weather. Bass fishing should also be taking off. Swan Falls usually starts getting good for Bass in a couple of weeks as long as we keep having this warm weather. Boise river for trout and bass until the flows come up when the spring runoff starts.

Welcome aboard. There are special regs for Lake Lowell. Bass fishing is C&R only until June 30th. They used to have a rule where you had to stay within 200 yards of the dams until the season opener in late April, but I don't see that mentioned in the regs.
