ya I did once,

I was out ice fishing for about twelve hours, midnight was comming on, a blizard was setting in the wind was blowing 25 miles an hour, I could not see a foot in front of my face, let alone the end of my rod or the hole in front of me.

I got the erg back when I got back just as soon as I got back to the cabin and made me a hot cup of caffee mocca.... of corse I had to take a nap and have another shot of mocca in the morn and I was ready to go, tobad the weather had not subsided.

It is hard for me to loose intrest, I have fish porn and parifinaila plastered all over my house shed front yard back yard boath sides of my house. I cant get out the front door with out passing the boat motor and ice auger. as soon as I step out the door there is my ice sled and boat. the garden with my worms is just 10 feet away form the front door. there is not one room in my house that dose not have something in it to remind me to go fishing.

I even have this peice of fishing porn plastered on my desk top, kinda makes you wanna grab the boat and go ice fishing dont it.....[Tongue]

the hard part is deciding what kind of fishing I want to do?????????

I have short term memory loss. so when ever I walk in to a room and I cant remember what it was I went in there for, I look at the fish stuff and remember I must have went in there to get ready to go fishing...... I have even gone fishing as many as 4 times in one day....

[cool] I've never lost the desire to fish in my life. I just have times where my desire to fish increases almost as fast as the list of honey do's. So just work out a bargaining agreement with the wife and go fishing with the promise that I will attack the list upon my return.

Hey there DrownedDesertRat,

Yep. While visiting a se asian country in 67-68 I had occasion to cross streams that were full of primo bait (black leeches) but figured I'd better forget fishing and hustle right along. If not then, when strolling along some narrow dirt mounds between 30 foot wide by 20 deep half-filled (water) B52 bomb craters, I though hey there might be fish in there but I figured I'd be better off just moving along as the picnic site was still a few click away.

Other than that, can't think of any!

NEVER!! I just drove 475 miles from denver into the wastelands of WYO by myself just because I had the joneses to catch fish through a hole in the ice! It worked too-even when we're going on a fishing trip we're already plotting our next trip. They say a man thinks about sex every 20 seconds or so-I think about fishing every 15 secs. I've got a pool table and 2 big book shelves downstairs that are full of fish stuff-piles!Then the spare bedroom is also full of fishin stuff-wifey just loves it!

well i did , seems for a few years watching the girls wiggle and jiggle excited me more then any fish ever could (although i did go fishing once in a while ).

marrage brought me back to fishing , after i met the one ment for me chasing girls kinda lost it's appeal .

Well, right now I could be considered a good candidate for a padded room. I've just been miserable lately. It's so bad that I haven't even thought about walking into Gander Mountain (connected to the grocery store I live by). I guess time will bring back the desire.

I lost it during my high school days. I was to busy with sports and chasing girls to really care about fishing. I still went once in a while with my dad. Now I'm not sure what really got me back in fishing but I guess its from work, school, girls and hunting, I've got squeeze some stress relief in.
