Baetis have been incredible in the afternoons... Trout are keyed in on all phases so be ready to fish the entire water column. #18 flashback pheasant-tails, #18 blue-winged olives, and rusty spinners. Good idea to have some emerged patterns too.

Thursday night midges covered the water and fish were rising everywhere... They still took Baetis wet flies since they're so tuned in to feeding on them right now.

Just got back and u are right I seen tons of blue wing olives 18 and smaller. I hade a bwo that was size 14 and they did not Evan look at it the fish where riding like crazy, but I throooooow every fly out there and they never looked at it so I switched to nymphs and fished with scuds and finally hade one it was just a 10" tho so I went to the mouth of the canyon on my way out and fished at that black bridge and hooked up a nice 18" brown with my fave wolly I will post pic of wolly idk what if is called but the fish where hitting it like crazy, I hade at lest 3 on with it but only landed one with it nice fish wish could have gotten pic but left my ipad at home [mad]

Yeah, #14 must have looked like a giant out there compared to the naturals. You can get away with a #16 fishing wet... but they're a little more picky about what they'll poke their noses out of the water to take.

I was fishing a #18 olive Comparadun when they started taking floaters.
