We're going down next week (to wahweap) and our time is really limited. If you were us, where would you go? We'd like to pound the stripers but we'd also like to get on some shallow bass (if they're starting to get on their beds). We aren't familiar with the southern part of the lake and don't want to waste any time going down canyons that aren't very fishable! Basically we were thinking of camping on the beach across from navajo canyon that way we could run to the dam for stripers or run up to warm creek or padre for spawning bass. What say ye?

PS I've been watching wayneswords but it's lacking in a lot of areas. The website isn't half as active as bft!

I just saw on ksl that all the stripers are hanging out right by the dam (thats wahweep right?) Get yourself a nice bright jig head and tip it with some anchovies and either drop it straight from the boat or chuck it out 30' or so and let it slowly sink back to you. Folks were killing it that way... But +1 on Wayne's words, that his lake he will get you on fish for sure! Also moki wall is supposed to be heating up now that the fish are coming back into the channel. Here is his latest report http://www.wayneswords.com/index.php?opt...&Itemid=29

Go to the backs of the canyons in Last Chance. They're usually pretty warm in the shallows. They always produce well for me.
