If you don't get any first hand info, I would try looking up a gauge for the Salt River in Wyoming. My guess is that the run off of the creeks would coincide somewhat with that of the Salt.
Also it has been cold enough that I would assume that runoff has slowed down temporarily.
If you go, let us know how it is.
BTW welcome to BFT.

If we ever get warm weather, a couple of weeks will be a whole different ball game.
Good luck on the wrestling and the fishing.

You might want to check regs. on those creeks up there. Something in the back of my head says that many of those aren't open for fishing till funky times of the year.
Happy fishing!

That used to be true.
Now the tributaries of Pali
es are open, just no harvest of cutts.
The tributaries of the South Fork don't open until 1 July.

I would say, yes, the run off has paused for this cold snap, but it will be back. I hope soon! (It is 10 degrees at my house this morning)
I posted a satellite picture in the Blackfoot-Pali

That was from last Fri, the 12th, in it you can see about how much snow is still on the hills of the stream you want. I have no idea how the roads are, or if you can even get into some areas.
I would start looking for a spring creek.

I seriously hope it warms up soon so that we can all go harass some bass. I've got a whole slew of new creations to throw at them this year [

I might be wrong, but I think the streams will blow out any day now.

I have to agree with you. First warm day and a bunch is going to come down in one fast swoosh. All of these little rain/snow storms are putting down some soft snow that will melt quickly.
It almost got warm today! I know it melted some on our lower hills, just not much higher up yet.
I was up by a little creek today, and by afternoon it had picking up a little color.
