The Michigan State Waterways Commission (MSWC) will hold its regular meeting on Friday, April 26 at the Port Austin Welcome Center, located at 2 W. Spring, Port Austin, Mich., 48467. The public meeting begins at 9 a.m.

The meeting agenda includes the 2013 emergency dredging program update, review of the new contractor for the Central Reservation System affecting harbor slip reservations, and the proposed review process for a potential land acquisition for a public boating access on Eagle Lake.

The Michigan State Waterways Commission is an advisory group, created by Public Act 451 of 1994, Part 781, to address issues concerning public boating opportunities in the state of Michigan, including the acquisition, construction and maintenance of recreational harbors, channels, docking and launching facilities, administration of commercial docks in the Straits of Mackinac, and to advise on regulations and grant funding for the Great Lakes Harbors of Refuge.
