Hi guys you wait for the lakes to lose their ice ... here in arkanas we catch the fish during storms...
lol ..
Enjoy and if any of you would post at the Arkansas forums I would just eat pie...

You'll see the tornado coming but not the lightning.

I have to agree you are nuts.

Always thought your were freaking - crazy, now we've got proof. Gotta hold your lure lower still. Couldn't see it, but I know a spinner bait when I see one. Ever slap a pork rind trailer on them? Or a swimbait paddle tail?
Now - when you're in 30MPH winds on a frozen lake, and your tent blows over the dam and down a hill, THEN I'll be impressed!
Just ribbing ya man. You need a heavy duty tripod me thinks! So Blair with shakey cam man! Making me dizzy!
Reminds me of a micro burst I was stuck in while out in my float tube in Idaho last year [laugh] I would crest the wave and then drop a foot and slap the water before riding the next one. I guess I'm nuts too [
] BTW, a spinnerbait was the bait that day too. I love chucking them in stormy weather.
Coyote, I use small, slender swimbaits like a Reaction Innovations Little Dipper on my spinnerbaits (and swim jigs). They're killer. A good old 3" grub can be a good trailer too.

Not really, we fish in this kind of weather here in Arkansas all the time.
caught my biggest crappie right before a tornado hit the town 3 miles east of me..... Pic below:

yea it was nighttime.
Caught my biggest Catfish (no pic) at the spillway during a huge storm and we had to retreat to the truck and I saw my pole bend over and ran back out to reel in my hugest blue cat with hail hitting me, lucky it was only small hail about a dime size...
lol ...
yea we are kinda crazy down south but ya gotta love us... Tornadoes are part of our life here, and 30mps winds we learn to fish during that a lot. Only during july,August does it get calm and then it's so dam hot you don't want to fish.
lol.

I was using wavefishing.com swimbug ... I cut off about half a inch so the tail didn't go to far out from the skirt. I catch most my fish using wavewishing.com lures now. Yes they advert here and that's how I found out about them.

THIS is why punctuation and spelling matter. I can't see the picture, and without it, it really does sound like you're just impressed with his nuts. [blush]

That's pretty danged funny.

30mph winds is nothing haha.
Come to Wyoming and fish in 60-65mph gusts. It's a blast.
(And no Tornado's to worry about!)

If it was 60 mpg I'd just grab my snowboard and shred the lake with a kite. [

Dude - you are so on the money. You SHOULD watch the vid. Angle is everything. Why I suggest a tripod., Can't see the lure, but . . .
I have a site/shot the demonstrates, but - well, . . . I should know better. Some of our ice adventures TRULY went nuts I can say. Tents and buckets blowing across the ice, and then some.
I've had a few tangles in weather I shoulda known better. Have yet to experience St. Elmos Fire, but been darned close!
Stupid is as stupid does. What can I say. I should have a pic for this, but I'll refrain . . .
