Although I now live in utah I come back to visit So Cal often. I just started fly fishing a year ago and wanted to give it a try in my home town. I did some reasearch and the closet river I could find was Sespe creek. I found a guy who guides on it but he wouldnt give me any ideas where to go so I just drove up to filmore and headed up from the lowest section. Hiked about 3 miles up and didnt see any fish, although its really great views I really want a place to come fly fish when I come vist, anyone have any suggestions on where I could fly fish this creek or another one in the ventura county area.

[Image: happy.gif][#008000]Have you tried Piru Creek. It is quite close to Santa Clarita. Your pictures sure do look inviting. Would think that if the creek is holding any fish [and I'm inclined to think so] is that they would be holding under the bank areas.[/#008000]

Im planning on giving it a try over x-mas when I head up, i saw no signs of life besides little tiny fry. I may hit up the ocean for some fly fishing or just head up to casitas if nothing else, or piru.
