[size 1]Just came back from Irvine Lake about 40 minutes ago. The water is way down. Had to walk around in mud to launch my tube. Around the shore and perhaps 10 yards out there was a greenish slim just beneath the surface. Almost like some one dumped 100 gal of green paint in the water. Some of the guys fishing from near the boat dock were catching trout and bass. I had numerous stikes but couldn't catch any thing but a sunburn. I throw my line out and bam, pull my line in and rebait. At least I did my good deed and fed the fishies! Don't need a Fish Finder, but I do need a fish catcher.[/size]

[size 1]Forgot to mention the fact that the water temperture was between 60 & 62 degrees about 5 ' down. Better fishing temps than two weeks ago when it was 70 degrees. Though that didn't help me any at all..[][/size]

[size 2] Basically some people I know who frequent the local pay to play lakes have had mixed reports and they are average to experienced lake fishermen.[cool][/size]

Hey Releaseit, I've heard some good reports on Laguna Niguel. I was going to try to hit it on Friday but was a bit ovewrworked. It's worth checking out.

By the way, I cooked up my lightining trout from SARL (it was tasty), they are restocking agian this week. You might want to give it a go then.
