What are some of your favorite fly patterns for gills and bass at Pelican Lake? I'm thinking of hitting it up next month and have a crazy notion that I might fling flies instead of lures for a change. Thanks!

I have had some of my all time favorite days fishing beadheaded buggers under an indicator at Pelican. Olive green was the go to last year.

What size were you using? Did both the bass and bluegill eat the same fly?

I usually fish a size 8 and yes both species hit it. Sometimes barbell eyes instead of a bead head can make the difference.[

A #12 BLACK Haresear under an indicator. Produced a lot of hand size BG that weekend. Red bead head helps too.
