Hi, not too experienced with fishing or anything, just do it for fun and when I have the morning off work... I caught something yesterday, not a trophy or anything, but it was about 6 or 7 inches give or take. Here's a photo, caught it with a large nightcrawler.
The fins on the back spiked out as well, just not while the picture was taken. Easy catch, just bout 10 feet off the shore.

Looks like a Green Sunfish to me.

To me they are Utah's closest thing to a tropical fish.

looks like the florida warmouth,looks like it dats all I'm
saying..I haven't caught these in a long time..

michigan call those fish warmouth bass also. what counts in your case is what your state call them.

In michigan they all get tossed in to the gill family, along with rock bass and crappie.. 25 total poession limit no matter how you mix them.
