Went down to the Provo harbor today to see if the white bass were biting yet. The river is still coming in pretty quick and the water is as clear as I've seen it, probably not the best scenario for white bass. My friend and I tossed our lines with and without bait for about 30 minutes before we decided to move on.
We headed back home and decided to stop near the pump house. We walked all the way out to where the water runs out of the lake, (The Outlet?) There were a few guys fishing there, they had buckets full of channels. I started tossing my line with a grub on it. After a couple minutes one of the guys offered me some carp meat. I dropped the plastic and just used the lead head with the meat. It wasn't 3 minutes before I had the first catfish on. I caught 2 more in the next 40 minutes before going home. I didn't get there until 10:15 and the fishing had slowed, supposedly. If I was going after catfish I'd give it a shot. Get there early.
The picture below is from google maps. We fished pretty much in the center of the outlet that is pictured. as far out as you can get without waders.
Good luck
