Another crappie trip for me today in Harrison Bay from around 11:00 am until 2:00. I didn't have a lot of gas or time to spend so I didn't go far from the HBSP marina. I checked out my favorite "post-spawn point" on Patten Island that I haven't fished much for a couple of years and it was pretty much full of crappie. I caught 17 on the point with a few more in the area for a total of 24 with close to 20 being keepers along with 6 bream and one bass that I lost. The prime depth was about 15 feet but I caught a nice TARP pushing 14.5 inches in about 7 feet there. The wind started kicking up around 1:00 and since I had things to do this afternoon I called it a day about 2:00 pm. I caught most of the crappie near the bottom over a brushpile on BG and Panfish Assassin jigs on 1/16 oz. jig heads. Water temperature was 65-68 degrees. All fish were released.
