I've been looking for a report on Arrowrock and have had no luck, anyone been there lately?

Fished Lucky Peak a few days ago, and unlike last week when we limited, we worked for them this time. The Fish and Game had a check station at the exit, and said we were the first from LP to have any fish. The Arrowrock folks had some beauts. The boat in front of us had 9 kokanee, with a couple big enough that the F and G guys were holding them up and taking pics! Mike

Yes AR has been fishing great the last 2 weeks. 17-19" fish. Changes by the day and time on depth, top down to 40'. Red double whammy with gold blades has been the hot ticket. Road was graded a couple days ago but don't tell no one [

Some days have been good others poor. Wed. it was a poor day.
I did best on pink, others did well on green. I seems to fish well but it takes some time to get it dialed in.

It will take time to get dialed in alright, its been forever since I fished for Kokanee, it will be like learning all over again.

Can I safely assume that one needs a boat to do any good on AR? Seems this has been my experience in the past. I'm guessing that much has not changed.

Boats do help but not necessary to catch fish. Plenty of trout available and if one is lucky a mess of perch. Work the rocky areas and you'll have fun with the bass too.

Hey Avery...I know there are a lot of perch in AR but I cant seem to figure out how to find them up there...I don't think anybody really targets them...I bet there are some nice pigs in there...if you have any ideas that would help me find them and present...let me know..PM if you want to...

I wish I had secret info I could pm you on perch. Both AR and LP have perch but finding them is another thing. When you do find them they are nice sized fish. Never been able to find them in LP but on a few occasions got lucky and stumbled on them. Avery even caught a bullhead out of LP once. Had some success over the years finding perch in AR. They are always on the move but when I do find them it's in the upper pool, MF/SF confluence area. I think luck has more to do with finding perch in AR than skill. Keep your worm wet and maybe you'll get lucky!
