Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday where my best days solo of fishing! Learned alot of new things about myself, my boat, and crappie fishing. All of it emoThanks to Drumking and TWK for teaching me about everything I know (crappie fishing that is)! I was real discouraged last week in not being able to find good size fish, seems like I could go out and find fish, but I was lacking in finding anything of size, after a Pep Talk, and some strong determination on my part (don't ever tell me I am not working hard enough) I set out to find some crappie I would be proud of posting some pictures of.
Monday 13th, was the day of 13" fish, it was amazing, but I had to work to find them, and that I did, I think I tried every dock in the creek that I had never tried before, I even went places I had never gone, except in my kayak. Lots of new docks from the storm rebuilding had lots of crappie, none with any size, so it was a "quick see you later" HOWEVER, those that had any amount of depth to them had some 13" crappie just waiting for me! Plus for the most part I never saw a single boat (I am sure that will change once this post is read)

Tuesday 14th (yes I am thinking 14"fish/TARP day) I spent the day on blow downs, a little bird told me and then showed me blow downs I never knew of, an they had lots of crappie.....Nice size ones too! Trees from the storms where loaded with crappie, most where suspended at 7-8 FOW while I was back off in 17 FOW. However some of those that where very very shallow had Big Crappie in them. It was amazing, thanks to David East via TWK, he was the master mind on how to fix that jig weedless and I only lost 3 jigs, not bad for all day of fishing weedless! Did not reach my goal for a TARP, but there is always tomorrow!

Wednesday was the white crappie day, docks and blow downs, not anything great but I had 32 keepers by 11 am and I started at 745, house hold chores got in the way of making that a hunt and find day, I just kinda repeated what I had done monday and tuesday. Still a great morning trip!

Water temp was about 68-69 all 3 days, anything that was PINK or in a magical bag of jigs I had was PERFECT, Total fish for 3 days keepers 104, I was keeping two clickers going on keepers vs non keepers till I lost the non keepers clickers so I took that as a sign that if they aren't legal they just don't count! But they sure where fun catching them! emoBig
