Planning on fishing Soldier Creek this weekend...
Does any one have intel on where to look for the Kokes this time of year?

We will be camping on the SC side but may wander over to the Berry side if we have to chase after them.

We do very well fishing them at the Gorge but have only caught 1 at Soldier Creek and that was by accident.

I have caught them at Renegade Bay.

Just got back from Soldier Creek. Another safe trip and had our son fish with us for the 1st time in over 10 years.

No kokes again this trip but did hear of a couple being caught on the Berry side.

We did pretty good catching the standard rainbows and slot cuts. Brought home a limit of bows for the smoker and released all the cuts.

We did see a hog of a cut taken by a fellow camper... said it was 26"+ and weighted around 9 lbs, and I believe every word of it. We saw him tot'n it around the campground.... what a hog of a fish.

Caught the majority of the fish on broke back Rapalas and a few on our kokanee gear, RMT Dodgers and Serpent Spoons.

Water temp was 57-ish (but I don't trust my finder so take that for what it's worth).
