Drove in the early AM hours to Chatt from FL on Wed and was wore out.

Decided the only thing to do was to leave the boat hooked up and go fishing.
So...Thursday I took a quick trip around some of the regular secret spots.
I caught crappie in good numbers and a white bass and shellcrackers that were fat.
Then I showed up at the 55+ crappieTX and saw some good friends there and caught up on what was happening in Chatt with the fishing.

The next day, I was putting in and I saw William going with his bucket and rods to do some bank fishing in his fav spot. I asked if he would like to go with me and he asked if I had an extra life jacket...and I did.
We headed up river to some nice open water spots and William proceeded to catch some nice crappie
We ended up with 13 keepers and caught about 50 to 60 fish. Had a fun time watching William learn the dock-shooting basics.
We were fishing near another guy who asked what we were doing and how to shoot.
I gave him quick info and his first try, He HOOKED himself in the finger! He thought I had set him up, until I repeated my warning about leaving the hook forward. Before we left, he was doing very well and even caught a few.
Sat was resting day.

Yellburt and I went down to the Nick and did very well there with 21 keepers and a fat spot.
Huddling under a bridge with about 350.000 dollars worth of bass boats hiding from the lightning and meeting the Nashville Bassers was ok, but when we got a short break, we pulled out and went home.

Mon was fishing with Dan day and we had a ball. We went north and loaded up. 100+ day with about a double limit of keepers and a few strange fish thrown in.
It was fun to fish with Dan again and we will do it again soon.
Saw Eric again and let him know how we did. I didn't think I was exaggerating when I gave him my on-water report. (DK emoGeezer emoPoke )

Today was Tue and I thought, I aughta go fishing. So I did.
Went downriver and tried old and new spots. The crappie were everywhere, but only one place held the large numbers today
Caught 7 bass and around 40 crappie.
Went home had lunch
Water temps were 70 to 73 and most fish were on a 10 to 12 count with 1/16
On 1/32 it was 15 to 20 count. Colors that were good were screamer.
I am going to try to catch a nap so I can fish tomorrow it is nice to be back.

Thanks for reading.
I will post some pics from these days
Also some pics from FL are thrown in as well

emoCool
