well i am planning tomorrow am lol.. i was up at silver lake this afternoon and it was completely open.. and suffering from people pollution, i am thinking that Mary will at least be partially open. i will let you know how i do! Kunz and I are planning a trip you should get in on it man!! maybe uintas? how does the weekend of 8th and 9th work? tyler?

I take that back it should be open I heard from a friend that other high mountain lakes are open so I would guess those should be too, its in the same general area of the ones your going too.

Lake Cathrine is something you should be wary of right now avalanche wise. I was up at Alta today and there were a few wet sluffs triggered in the afternoon and evidence of some larger sluffs with ocassional rockfall.
A good rule of thumb is if you sink past your ankle in the snowpack you are in danger. Aspect, elevation, time of day, duration of a nightly re-freeze, temp, weather, etc. all play a big part in Spring Conditions.
It will be safe at Lake Mary though.
