I know there are a few who have at one time been members of Rocky mountain anglers, and Strawberry anglers, I was just wondering who is currently members?
I am not trying to invade anyones privacy here, just thinking about joining, and wanted to talk to some current members.
Feel free to send me a pm if you dont want to respond to the post.

I am not a card carrying member of RMA any more but I'm still on their e-mail list. I recognize every one of their members when they do a project that gets air time on the Doug Miller show. I must say, I actually feel guilty not being a member and participating in their very worthwhile projects. They are a great bunch of guys with a lot of understanding about the fish habitat of our state waters. The club meetings that I went to always had a guest speaker who either worked for the DWR or had quite a passion for fishing. If a person wanted to learn a whole lot about our state fisheries and their habitat and wanted to help out with worthy volunteer work, this is the club to join. They meet in a lodge in Midvile (a kind of a long drive for me and no one to car-pool with). They have several (I guess about 6) official tournaments a year. They put on several annual events such as the annual walleye seminar at the federal building in SLC. Oh, and by the way, those guys are REALLY good at fishing. Walleye seem to be their specialty and passion.

I know people in both groups. They are both fun organizations that can help you become a better fisherman, and also help you get involved in projects to protect and improve our fisheries.

RMA is a very active group with lots of hand-on activities. They sponsor fishing seminars every spring where they go to great lengths to help anybody learn to catch walleye. I’ve never heard them put down or ridicule a newcomer who is trying to learn the sport. They love walleye but are also very good at catching other species.
Both groups get out and help with all kinds of projects. They are actually working to make things better, and I've gotta respect that.

I went to one of their seminars on Walleye last spring and found it very informative and seems they are all about knowledge for conservation. Willing to answer any and all questions.

I am not a member of RMA, but have been to their meetings and have worked on projects with them. I am also close friends with several of their long time members. This is an outstanding conservation organization. The Rocky Mountain Anglers donate endless time, money and resources to help Utah fisheries. They are to be commended for efforts. Just my $.02.

I filled out an application yesterday for Roicky Mountain Anglers. I will be a member here shortly.
It looks pretty cool. They do a bunch of low cost tourneys, $10.00 per guy type of deal on many lakes around the state, plus some big money walleye tourneys.
But also, they do some cool projects I would like to be involved in.
In addition to helping out utahs fisheries, and having a little fun, I want to show my support for walleye fishing in utah. Our walleye lakes are in need of some help, and have such great potential. Hopefully with more volunteers, more members, and more visible support for walleye fishing, the DWR will be more inclined to spend more time and money improving and expanding these resources.
Sign me up.
I am not so sure about the strawberry anglers assocaition. I havent been able to dig up much info on what they are all about.

I've been a member of SAA for 2 years now. They have meeting once every couple of months and always have a special speaker from the DWR or some one thereabouts, but they have volunteer projects that you can do and special info on Strawberry they send out to you. I like being a member since I do spend 90% of my fishin and duck hunting time their!
