Opening of the river below American falls is usually pretty decent if ya don't mind a lot of people. This seemed to be the case Monday. We got on the water at about 11:30 and the banks were crawling with people as well as boats floating everywhere. Fishing was ,as always, AMAZING. Catching was fairly slow. We fished spinners,spoons,bait. Pretty much everything in the box. Fish seemed to respond best to a good old worm and a pinch of power bait. Ended up landing 6 fish between 15-26 inches. All in all it beats a kick in the pants!

It is always a different type of fishing there. American Falls and below. I would rather take the crowd, over the wind.
