TAMPA, Florida June 8, 2013 - Captain Sergio Atanes and a staff of 8 professional Tampa Guides is hosting a fun filled day of fishing and instruction for families and children of all ages. This action filled event is aimed at introducing children, parents and adults to the sport of fishing and enhancing techniques for catching more fish.
"Children today are tethered to video games and electronic stimuli that thwart their environmental awareness," said Captain Atanes of S&I Charters, Inc. (Reelfishy.com) "Our goal is to encourage families and their children to take advantage of the wonderful sport fishery that the state of Florida has to offer."
The program begins at 10 am through 2pm and will be a hands-on event providing all pre-registered guests with valuable and interesting instructions on several topics. All captains will be available for questions and assistance on the following topics:
"¢ How to throw a bait net
"¢ Basic Knot tying
"¢ How, when, and why to use live and artificial baits
"¢ Identifying species of local fish in Tampa Bay
"¢ Catch & Release
"¢ Selecting the right tackle (rods, reels, hooks and lines)
"¢ Hand-on fishing with a Captain from the Tampa Harbour dock
"¢ Marine electronics what new and exciting for your boat from Lowrance
"¢ Kayak fishing presented by Tackle Shack Water Sports
