I'm heading back to the gorge this weekend to do so some laker fishing. Was wondering if there are big lakers at buckboard this time of year or if I should stay down on the Utah side. I fished buckboard about a month ago and caught a bunch of 5-10lb pups but nothing significant. Any info would be appreciated.

I am also headed up there on Sunday. We have been to the gorge 5 times since December and have fished a lot of the reservoir. From what I have seen (im no expert by any means) there are large macks throughout the entire system. I honestly think that some of the lesser hammered fish places (north of pipeline) will hold fish that aren't as itchy to swim off at the first sign of your lure or bait. This is just my opinion, I could be wrong. I havn't been up right at Buckboard but will be spending the last 3 days of our trip up there koke fishing and looking for Macks as well. We do intend on one evening of trying for ling, which ever one is the least windiest!!!!![laugh]
