Woke up at 3:50am today and couldn't get back to sleep, so i did what any self-respecting man would do and should do: I went fishing.

After deciding against launching the boat in the dark, alone, I opted to try Weston.

Started fishing at 5:30 and caught 4 LMB in the first 9 minutes.

And then my rod eyes started freezing. Seriously. It was ridiculous. Until the sun crested the eastern peaks, my toes and fingers and ears and nose were in fear for their lives from frostbite.

The fish didn't much care, though.

Fished for a few hours and finished @ 23 LMB. All between 13 and 17". Lots of bass on beds in the shallows. Good times.

I really hope that they can keep water in that place, the average fish size just keeps getting better every year. When I first moved here five years ago, I caught tons of 8-10" fish, and just a handful of fish over 12". They're getting to be much more common now.
