fished a larger lake in Eastern ID saturday. had some fun, caught a few bows that each passed 20 something inches. comming back in we ran into engine problems, no fuel getting to the fuel filter.... fml... anyway a guy was passing us with his family and asked if we needed a tow into the dock, which we did. he towed us all of the way back to the dock without hesitation. when we got in we passed on a few bottles of water for them and a 2 liter of diet pepsi for the kid and some cash. he adimentally refused to take any money up and down, i finally set it on the back of his boat and pushed him off as we tied up to the dock. its nice seeing people go out of their way to help a stranger. thank you to you sir and your family for stopping your fishing to help us out. for what its worth on the way home we broke a rod and blew a tire, what a day. thanks again!

All the luck of a run over snake. What do you think happened to the motor on your boat? Ron

It's my uncles boat, first thought was a clogged line, thinking now its a fuel pump issue, yanked te pump off and moved the rocker around and nothing came out, going o replace that first and go from there

Days like that are incredibly frustrating!
Glad to hear there was a good samaritan handy!

Good report...sort of...LOL...not so long ago, the wife and I had been all day fishing at Arrowrock...we came in and pulled the boat out..as we were organizing for the ride home...I put some things in the truck and shut the door to go back for more...only to find that somehow the doors locked themselves...keys in the ignition..spare key in the wife's purse...IN THE TRUCK!...I was totally shaken and out of options aside from breaking a window...this fellow was putting his boat in at the time and scratching his head as to how he could help me...
Well as luck would have it...his aunt just "happened" to pull up with a friend on a sight seeing drive...said she was going back to Nampa and would give the wife a ride to our house to get her Jeep..and another key...I wasn't thrilled at her going with a stranger alone but I also wasn't going to leave my truck and boat sitting there unattended...so I climbed into the bed and took a nap...and hour and a half later, she drives up with the other key, but then informs me she is running on fumes because her purse was locked in the truck and would likely run out before we made it down to the gas station..ugh! She headed down the road and I was just turning around to head out, and the guy who's aunt saved the day...was waaayyyy down the road waving at me walking with a gas can...
Apparently his boat ran out of gas a mile from the ramp and he had to scale the cliff to the road and hoof it a mile to flag me down...so I filled up his can with my kicker tank and drove him back to his boat...exchanged pleasantries, and I headed down the mountain....as I passed LP and by now it was getting dark...here is my Jeep sitting on the road out of gas...and I had no can...LOL...grrrrr....after a few minutes...the guy I gave gas to pulled up and laughing at the irony of it all...gave me his gas can to fill and said goodbye...and thanks for helping out...I got her Jeep some gas and since it was only a gallon jug we had to then stop and put more in it at Albertson's...which was two minutes from closing...longest fishing day ever...but funny how things can work out sometimes...any way...sorry for the book but I thought it was a good addition to the thread...keep paying it forward folks!
