Hi guys , hey I live in Utah but I am wondering if anyone here has ever fished Lake Coeur d' Alene and what parts. I'm going to be going up there about once a year for about a week at a time and i'm thinkjing about taking my boat along. Any sugguestions would be appreciated.

I haven't been up there in years but we fished the south end of the lake and did OK for smallmouths, nothing real big but fun. The other areas we fished was the chain lakes and caught some nice largemouths. It's a no wake zone up thru there but the rewards were worth it.

By all means, bring your boat. Depending on what time of year and type of boat you've got will dictate what you can go after in lake Coeur d'alene. I live here and never seem to find the time to chase them all. Right now is good for Kokanee salmon, mostly on the south end. Later in the summer they'll be deep so you'd need outriggers. Pike, trout, bass, even Chinook salmon can be had depending on what your after. Don't overlook the chain lakes and many, many others around here as they are all good for different species.

Hi rustypig, thanks for the information. Unfortunately I just got home from CDA last night, what a beautiful area and lake. I was staying at Arrowpoint Condos , Looks like we are going back again same time next year. I wouldn't mind it if you ever fish there again if you would either post a report or shoot me a PM . I know how to keep secrets, lol. I fish for Kokanee a lot here in Utah and I have the Downriggers , kicker motor and all the gear. My Boat is a '97 StarCraft SuperFisherman 170.
