Went out with a old friend today to chase some bass around in the tubes, used one type of jig the whole day and let me tell you i.have never had such a hot day on the bass, didnt catch anything huge avg size being 10-12 inches, but between the two of us we caught more than a hundred bass in our 8 hours of skin burning fun.when I say skin burning fun I aint fibbing. I am as red as it gets right now and my buddy is worse than I am bet he blisters up from it. Needles to say 8 hours in the tube in the sun with no shirt was not my best idea. But it.felt good to.enjoy the summer burn.

also caught a few dozen bluegil one pretty nice bluegil, I didnt get any pics of the fish I was saving for a big one but never got a big one, never the less though caught a ton of bass and had a blast.

They're definitely on right now. I've got some pretty good bass thumb going on and my hand hurts from wrestling them in. I even bruised my chest from holding the butt of my rod against it while fighting the grouchy little creatures. I love this time of year.

It was the one with no boat dock or launch out side of Preston. You know the one.[cool] I scene a few really sizeable bass just couldnt get them to take anything, I caught most of them accros from the main side in the cove that extends back about a hundred yards or so. That same cove had some really nice bluegil in it also. I was using a watermelon green 3.5 inch cutt'r bug from maniac custom lures weightless for the bass and a changable craw gizzila on a 1/64 jig head for the bluegil im telling you them cutt'r bug from maniac custom lures are an out standing bass jig. I worked them on top walking dog retreave sub surface and bottom bouncing, all with fantastic results.
