fished the berry tues and wed trolling 2 and sometimes 3 rods.
most and biggest fish at 25 to 30 feet, used 2 1 oz slip sinkers 5 feet in front of a rapala to get it down, knew it was there because i hit bottom at that depth.
fished open water from mud creek to the knolls.
once we had 3 fish on at the same time.
any color rapala seemed to work at any depth.
mixed bag cuts and bows biggest bow 19 biggest cut 20.
all but 10 small ones returned to hit again.

Sounds like one hell of a day! Might be headed up Sunday morning. What time was the best and did you try shallower? I'd like to go out on the float tube and flies some flies and maybe a few rapalas

Afternoon in a chop seems to be best.
we did drift a worm and rainbow power bait for a hour for 1 18 inch cut on powerbait.
did see 1 boat close to shore pulling in lots of fish on powerbait on bottom.
there is a hatch of some type on the water right now and we did see fish roll now and then.

Thanks for the report gripy. I knew I should have gone there instead of Scofield. How big is your boat? I was worried about taking a bath in our little 12' aluminum due to the wind last week...

A bath for sure tues and maybe wed also.
I have a 21 foot pontoon that goes well in the white caps.
there where some boats in the back of mud creek but only me and 1 or 2 other boats shared the whole bay.

That actually makes me feel better about my choice. I'll have to see if I can talk the old man into getting the big boat out here in the next couple weeks. Nice pic!
