I left Utah for work several years ago and now I am back. At the time there was a lot of buzz on this forum discussing a law where the stream bed was going to be turned over to the land owners and fishermen would no longer be able to stay in the streambed in order to fish through private property. Can someone direct me to a website that explains what the outcome of this debate was? Did the law pass?

With lots of debate and Anglers marching the stairs of the capitol the law some how passed. The current Law HB141 prohibits anglers from fishing Rivers that pass through private property.

There are 2 lawsuits pending toward working on a compromise with private land owners Judge Pullan of the 4th discrict court has found the HB141 unconstitutional but when a decision will be made is still in the wind

Head over to the USAC site to read more

I don't know but I think that's the dumbest thing ever. It's saying you have money, here enjoy this and have every1 else suffer. Can't believe some people really think it's okay to let one person dictate whether or not people can access something that the owner created no more than you or I.
