At its meeting June 13 in Lakeland, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) elected Vice Chairman Richard "Dick" Corbett of Tampa to serve as Chairman, effective July 1.
"Dick's passion for preserving our wildlife legacy for future generations is an asset to this Commission," said outgoing Chairman Ken Wright. "He's been an avid outdoorsman since childhood and understands the importance of introducing youth to nature and creating the next generation that cares."
Corbett has served on the Commission since 2003. The term of Chairman is one year.
Brian Yablonski of Tallahassee was elected to the one-year term of Vice Chairman. While serving on the Commission since 2004, he has played a key role in building a strong record of conservation for all Floridians.
