They were biting pretty good last night! Too bad I kinda hot left out of the contest but oh well! Boated ten, biggest were the two in the pic, smallest about 2.5 pounds, all of em were let go to get bigger!

I think you can actually still sign up for the contest. Nice cats either way though, where was that at?

They almost look like 10 lb browns. [Image: happy.gif]

Very nice fish. Are you north or south? How long were those fish, they look like monsters in the picture. Great job. Did you catch them on bait? Later J

+1 just send me a pm. We've had a number of entrants that haven't shelled out too.

Very diverse colors, and - big heads!

Looks like nighttime is the right time!
I'm north, and I would say they 28-30 long (close to my longest ones so far for sure) and I'd say they were 10-11 pounds. And yes they were caught in bait.

Thanks looks like you have the big ones dialed in. Good job. J

It would seem that way, or I could just be lucky! Ha but I've been doing it every weekend for the past three years too, spend the time and learn the swamp and good things follow!

Looks like you learned the lessons well. I need to click up that size range, but I may have to learn the dark side of the day. Later J

Lots of trial and error, spent many a fishless night out on my boat through the years. But pay attention to the little things and put everything together and eventually it will all work out!

Have you got into the walleye while you're chasing cats at night? I probably don't want big cats bad enough to lose sleep for them, but its cool you can get them. Guess I'm not hard core enough to go for the big boys. Later J

No sir, I may have a bite from one Friday night not a 4 inch glow tube jig, it was quick and hard and it wasn't a cat, cause not one cat touched the thing all night... ha but other than that it would have to be a monster walleye to hit what I throw for the cats haha

Those larger eyes have big mouths if they decide they want what you offer, but they usually like lively stuff not dead rotting stuff. Try the eyes on a second rod, you may find something else to stay up for. Later J

Ha if I had any idea on how to catch them I would try, I have only caught a couple 6-8 inchers on the big bear river on worms in my younger years! It would be cool to catch a decent sized one though!

Try a 4 or 5" curly tail with 3/8 oz head and tip it with a piece of night crawler and then jig it off the bottom. Remember they aren't very thick so you'll have a lot of casts per fish. Good fishen. J
