I have been struggling lately down there. 2 dogs guess I need some lessons. Fished from 8am till 1 before I got my first bite then in about 2 hrs I came up with some more bass a trout and 1 small walleye, so the day was not a total loss as far as catchin goes.

Not sure if I need to stay up in the deeper water and not go up to goose island or what. The water is down but I sure love how being on the water calms my spirit, even when I am not catchin.

Im in the same boat as you I still have yet to catch a walleye kind of a bummer but that's why they call it fishing and not catching![] And a bad day fishing still beats a great day on the couch.

Well at least you didn't get skunked. Seems like at Oakley there always shallow and close to shore in the early mornings then move to real deep water later in the day. I targeted them this weekend and fishing is picking up still a lot of small ones but did manage a couple nice ones.
