Taking the family to bear lake to use our condo time share before we lose it this year.We will be there from fri afternoon thru mon.Questions?(I've never fished the bear)Can you fish from the bank with any sucess? If so where and what do you use?My boat is put away for the winter, besides if I took it my wife would think I would be spending no family time, however on vacations she likes to sleep in so my boys and I can sneak out for a few morning hours. So please give some advise on where to go and what to use ect...Thanks in advance Lonnie

Lonnie, take some time and read through the BL archives there is a ton of information there!! If I was fishing from the bank I would hit Cisco Beach on the east side, throwing spoons ect. if you fish with some smaller jigs 1/32 oz or so whith some crawler or wax worm dragging it along the bottom, you should pick up some white fish!!Good luck M.H.

Are you going to be staying at Sweetwater? If so you can fish on their beach, which is right in front of the Rock pile. I can't say that I've done very good fishing from shore at Bear lake but that doesn't mean you can't catch a few fish. The area that Muskyhunter is talking about is your best bet but it is a drive from any condo in the Bear lake area. Good luck and have a good weekend with the family. WH2
