As I understand it , Id. is trying to get rid of the bass that have been illegally planted there. I would like to help, especially since I love to catch and eat em. I've asked a good buddy this question, so I hope I don't piss him of by this general post. He's a good guy, so I assume we're ok.
Just would like to know, where on the reservoir I should fish and what to use. Any help?

leaky i would suggest the east? end... seams east but not sure. all your normal gear would likely work.. I have caught them on wooly worms and leaches but i was targeting trout..... I have a bad feeling that if the water gets low enough like it is looking like early on this June that the f&g is going to see it as good as any opertunity to kill it off and get rid of the bass. the chatter of a kill off has been getting more and more ever sense they found the bass Go get the Leaky... GET EM ALL!!!

You are cheating on Utah though![shocked]
What's the matter leaky, can't find 'em in Utah?[

I'm kind of getting that vibe too. I talked to a Fish and Game officer a couple of weeks ago, and he said the same thing. If the water gets low enough, they may try to do a salvage, and then poison the lake. It's kind of a shame, I've never caught such consistently fat bass. I think they have the potential to grow huge in there. It's too bad the two species can't coexist.
I caught these guys there tonight, and while they aren't huge, they're nearly as wide as they are long.

Those are some chunky little bass! Looks like a good time, I think I'll have to hit it up soon before a possible kill. Are they pretty loose on the regulations for bass since they don't want them in there? I'm an Idaho newbie but really starting to enjoy what this state has to offer. Treasureton is a 2 trout no bait or barbs place right?

Yeah, they want them out, so there are no regs on the bass. Keep all you want, any size. I still feel guilty doing it though, seeing as they're so healthy. The habitat looked really good too with lots of different varieties of vegetation. It was still pretty much full too, which is more than I can say for some of the other reservoirs in the area.

Treasureton is 2 trout over 20inch. No bait (or scents) and barbless hooks.
Bass are no limit, any size.

Even for the bass you have to run artificial, barbless, scentless. I got stopped by a game warden there early this spring.
