Fast and furious at Bird Island today...probably caught 15 or 20 before the heat drove us off the lake at about 10:00. My faithful crew member, CatCarsen, took the biggest fish at 25 and 28 inches. Nothing more fun than watching a kid catch a big fish.
Cats seemed to favor white bass meat today but caught them on carp too. Fun.

Those are some nice looking cats! Wish I was out chasing kittys instead of being stuck at work.

Good day today... going again tomorrow... gotta find that big one that got away at the boat today. Hope to post a pic of a 30+ cat tomorrow.
One of the benefits of being retired is that you don't have to worry about those days when you wish you were fishin' instead of wasting time at work. I can go any time I want to... it's tough.... really tough, but ya know, somebody has to do it. [

Let's go get 'em!

[#0000FF]If you go out of Lincoln Beach don't run over the folks in the tubes and kayaks. Helping DWR get some footage of catfish fishing for a new instructional video they are making.
Stop by to say hi...or to contribute to the program.
Bring some shade and refreshments. Gonna be warm.

We came in today at about 10:00 or so -- heat was brutal, and saw all the ruckus over there by the inlet. Wondered what was goin' on. If they are doin' a video on catchin' cats I can see why you got a special invite. I'm sure you will be posting a summary of the day so I'll look forward to it.
Good at BI today but nothing over 25 inches. Maybe tomorrow.
