Boat or on the bank?

If you have more than one with you, I would have them in a pfd even on the bank. Easier to relax and fish.

Sorry, I haven't ever fished there myself, so I am no help on location.

boat or bank will have alot to do with it i was up their two weeks agos and did well on perch bellow the dam and hooked a few smallies most were by the golf course or crown point we didnt get any huge rainbow but did catch a few small bull head catfish if i had a boat i would have gone to sugarloaf or tryed trolling by the dam for kokes , coho's, and rainbows i plan on going up again in two weeks this time with a boat[Wink]

Sorry. If I had seen this, I could have given you some places to try. You're probably back by now? My tips wouldn't have done you much good however. I was up there all weekend for a family reunion. Good thing I kept those 100+ a few weeks ago. It would have been a pretty bleak fish fry, otherwise.
As noted you probably already had your trip and I hope you and the kids had a blast. If not, below the dam by the highway bridge always has something to offer and fishing around the dam can always make sure the kids will get soemthing. I supprot the reccomendation of of having PFD's on thie kids in these areas unless it is on the sandy beach arear on the south side of the dam...which we have done well with trout, perch and bass at times.
