Just got a new boat nothing special doesn't go over 20-25 mph but its nice and sturdy and it goes forward and my whole family can go out in it. Anyway im taking the family to cj for the first time this year and was wondering how the crappie/perch fishing is faring I know where to go just wanting to know if they are on a bite with all this warm weather and maybe what they are biting on crappie mostly perch are always the same bait lol. PM me if you have any info that might give me a hand in getting the kids on some of those little buggers.

I just got back from there a couple hours ago. It was windy, which made for tough fishing.
I caught a few perch, a few crappie and a lots of little bass. They're biting, but with the exception of one perch and one legal bass, everything I caught today was about the size of my hand. All the crappie went back in the lake. (So did the bass)
Water surface temperature was 77. Algae is starting to form. Cottonwood ramp was thick with it in the morning but was a little cleaner when I pulled out. Visibility is still good in the narrows.
I mostly used red/white jigs. I tried a few different head weights to get it down deep enough in that wind, but didn't find any ideal setup.

well fortunately for me this weekend is supposed to be for the most part wind free thank you for the info now im really excited seeing how they are biting down there red/white are my usual go to color but im a huge fan of char/green or yellow/white those usually work really well for me and if the algae is forming then its time to bust out the bright colors and fish deep thanks again for the info

Good luck. I was anchored in around 20' of water, trying to fish as deep as possible. The two larger fish came from lower down. The sonar showed fish suspended fairly close to the bottom, but between the wind and the little bass it was difficult to get the jigs down to them.

I was there tuesday. The wind blew enough to make whitecaps and make it very difficult to cast and maintain any direction or speed. Still caught a bunch of bass. Caught 5 or 6 legal size and put them back. Caught a bunch of 6 to 10 inch bass. Caught 3 crappie in one spot, spent the next 45 min trying to get either of two anchors to hold. Finally got both anchors held, then couldnt find a crappie.
