Im headed up to the Gorge today after work to chase some Kokanee for the weekend. I havent fished FG all that much other than through the ice.
Has anyone one been up lately and had any luck? Im looking for a good place to start and what to use, any info would be appreciated.
Thanks,

While I am no expert, we have always found some this time of year just out of Lucerne to Antelope Flats just back and forth near the state line. Flashers in front of Pink anything (squids and tazmanian devils)...works for us. Good luck!

I just got some first-hand, in-person reports that they're SLAYING them up around Buckboard. 40-50 fish mornings, from the most reliable sources on the lake. "55 feet" is what they are saying. Also, every boat I've seen trolling for kokanee has been hooked up multiple times where I've been mack fishing between Lucerne and Anvil. Kokes are 50-60 feet deep everywhere. I see 'em all over my graph everywhere I stop.

On a 50 fish morning, how many of the 50 make it to live another day of the ones which are released, in your opinion?
I catch whatever the limit is on my boat and am done after hearing the fish biologist state he's never netted or examined a Kokanee which has been caught prior, I see ospreys nailing them behind boats releasing them all the time.

I have no idea, but I don't fish for them either. I'm just reporting what I have been told by the serious koke fisherman on the lake recently. I would guess that mortality is high.
