[#0000FF]Carp have better eyesight than some trout.
And, about the Buff stuff...just punch in Buff headware on your search engine. Lots of outlets, including Amazon.com.

My buddy and I were @ Lindon that same morning, but rolled in around 8:30 -- that pre-dawn nonsense is for the birds. We had the fly rods in hand and carp on our minds; thankfully, the carp didn't disappoint. I saw TD's truckomobile and viewed his tube out at the Bubbleup and I just knew it would be a good day. Lot's of carp slurping the surface until noonish. I cut a chunk out of one and tossed it off the north side of the dike and couldn't keep the mudders off. I put on a much larger hook and that was the ticket to keeping the dinks off, and it also led to a big ol' channel. The dude was as blue as the evening sky and his lips were puckered out like mad. Ugly sum'bitch.
I wish I had been in the toon though, I would've loved to hit the BU and mash those kitties. It was fun to talk to TD on his way in though... that guy has more one liners and funny comebacks than FFL has ugly reflections.

[#0000FF]Good to see you again Dave. Glad you went bendo on some puckerlips and then the whiskerface. Don't matter what species ya catch as long as you enjoy the encounter. Right.
I didn't mention seeing you and your fishing buddy in my post. Didn't know who your buddy was and didn't wanna make FFL jealous.
Gotta get you over to Starvation. Besides the mega 'bows, walleyes, smallies, etc. there are some tank carpinskis in there. And they eat feathers too. Only problem is you need a 14 weight to handle the biggies.
I can also show you how to bag some channels on flies at the bubbleup. A lot of them are hanging close to the pipe. I caught one on plastic and had a couple of other "catlike" hits. And I have caught lots of channels on flies before. A good black bugger or a white crystal bugger will both work. The black represents baby cats...a big menu item. And the white can be any one of several other fish babies...white bass, crappies, etc.

That place frightened me! I realized I will never have "enough tackle" for the rest of my life. A harsh life lesson indeed!
