Yesterday I loaded up the family and took the boat to Blackfoot reservoir. That turned out to be an adventure. We left Blackfoot at 12:00ish. We went out Lincoln creek from Blackfoot. The road was good but the water was too low to launch at poison creek. I followed the reservior around to another launch and it looked too low as well. By now it was 3:00 pm so I decided to go to chesterfield. I took some random back road that went over a mountian and back down the other side to the Chesterfield townsite and over to the reservoir. Ended up getting a flat tire on my SUV so I unhooked the boat trailer and change the tire, and finally was backing the boat in the water at 5:00.
My kids are 3, and 2 years old, so this was a bit of an endeavor for them to go for a long drive and then sit in a boat, but they were good mostly. Fishing was slow. we never even got a bite. The water was low and filled with weeds so it was kinda hard to troll very well. I was hoping to get the kids to catch some fish, but even with all the things not working out, we had a fun day together and I would do it again.

Too bad on the no catching, especially with little kids. I wish that the water levels weren't getting so low everywhere.

You must have come over the Cow Camp Rd. I have wondered about that one, but haven't ever been on it. Was the road condition okay?
Thanks.

Yes, that's the road. Not a bad road for the most part but somewhere on it I hit something that punctured my tire bad enough it could not be repaired. They are Toyo a/t tires with decent tread as well. Oh well it happens.
