heading up to the gorge for a day trip this saturday
going to see what kinda fish we can get.

going to try 60' down with a pink dodger/squid combo,
Along with a cheater line running at 30' with some kinda spoon on it? (ADVICE ?)

Really just out to catch fish, so rainbow or koke are fine i just wanna get hooked up as much as i can while I'm there.
So if Anyone has some added insight I'm all ears!

For the money spent on gas and what not, I would pay the extra dolla'$ and just go to the Buckboard marina to launch and head south... just saying, IMHO.

Ive never been to the Wyoming side of The Gorge before so i dont even know where to start lol
the main reason i was going to go up for the day is that we usually leave the boat up there but have had some issues with the local boat shop that worked on ours last so ive had to bring it back and forth as ive been finding more things wrong and what not,
my dad works overseas and is coming back the first of next month and were going to go spend a few days up there fishing so i was going to take the boat up so its there and ready and ill have to do is haul the 42' ToyHauer up.
but ran into more bad luck when i went to SLC to get some new/used trailer tires to last tell fall (were going to upgrade to bigger 14 ply tires on 16" wheels) and the guy sold them out from under us so i ended up not going this weekend Sad

You will have to spring for a mussel sticker 30 and a reciprocity stamp 15, other than that Wyoming is good. I would like to find some good spots on the Utah side.

Do I still need to buy the sticker/get the inspection if I'm launching/camping on the Utah side & just boat on over to WY side?

Regardless of where your launch, if you are traveling east on I-80 and you cross over the state line into Wyoming, you are required to pull over at the Evanston I-80 POE (Point Of Entry) and have your boat inspected. It is free. But my experience is that they only man that inspection station the buisest times of the day. No one is there off hours. One of the things they do is have you lower your motor(s) and if water comes out, you have to have the entire boat steam cleaned. If no water comes out of your motors, and you have not recently been in mussle infested waters, you will be free to go after they put a seal on your boat. No big deal. So tip your motors down and let them drain and dry before you leave.

Once you cross back into Utah and launch at Luccerne (which is still in Utah) and if you stay on the Utah side, I don't think you are under the law of Wyoming. You will still be responsible for Utah's laws regarding IAS.
