What are your thoughts? I think it is great, because with the increase they are also proposed including a two pole permit for no additional fee.

Right now a two pole permit cost $15, this license increase is only $8 and they have not increased license fees since 2002.

I'm ok with it too, as long as it eliminates the two pole permit.

ugh..

Oh great it's just another movement to raise prices what's next. Let's raise this let's raise that and lets just take all the money out from every person who is going to retire too pay off the world wide debt.

I just love how everything is rising up just to make other things fall into uncle Sams hand with a big huge U turn misshapen to make life just BETTER. HA HA HA.

[#502800]I like it with the two pole included. I hated the two different expiration dates.[/#502800]

That's a little extreme don't ya think?

Hold on, I need to put on my aluminum hat so the internet can't read my mind...what? I'm not even typing this! Government is out to get me, I knew it!

Raise the license fee. It's not that big of a deal, you buy it once a year and if it gets that two-pole permit out of the way so be it.

I would actually prefer them to keep the two licenses seperate and just raise the prices on both. If everyone who has a license is fishing with two poles it's going to make combat fishing even worse.

+1... I think its great idea normally a license and 2 pole permit is 41 dollars; 26 for the regular and 15 for the two pole.

34.00 bones and your saving 7 bucks for people who want to fish 2 poles.

Do you ever go snow boarding? How much does that cost for a single day? This seems cheap to me for an entire year of fishing. Try dividing the license fee by 365 days and see how much your paying for a day of fun. That is 9 cents a day, what a deal!!! But even if you only get out for 50 days a year that is only 66 cents a day, how can you complain about that!!! Do you ever go to a movie, seems to me that is $6-$12 and depending on if you buy anything to eat or drink it will be more. Everything goes up in price and there has not been a price increase for 11 years. Of all the things we can complain about, this should be very low on anyones list.

Interesting. I'm not against it. It would save me money in the long run. Especially since I got a son who will be 14 in a year and a half and a daughter who is three and a half years away. I like the 2nd pole permit included with the regular license since I buy it now.

Remember when gas price went up and you said that won't hurt me. Lets see what you say in 15-20 years about fishing license. Might just jump $80+ in 20 years.
[signature]
So? I would happily pay"80+" for a fishing license. I pay more than that for one good seafood dinner.
[signature]
what I would realy like to see is them raise the fishing licence to say 200 hundred for the year then it would eliminate a lot of morons.but it wouldn't effect this moron cause I have a lifetime licence[sly][sly][sly][sly][sly][sly]

IBTL

Finally!

I'm not paying another dime for a fishing license in Utah. Haven't paid for one in something like 23 years.

Gotta pay for buying new Musky stock from somewhere - spread the pain.

Your other post says you got 250 bucks for Sportmans yet you cant afford 34 bucks for a license ?

34 bucks for a annual pass to fish all year is worth it to me.. if 34 bucks is to expensive for you maybe you should take up golf ..oh wait 34 bucks will get you 1 9 hole round lol

I do have a job. Maybe I was being sarcastic with the price and just saying lets see where it goes.

I think I spend more money on fly tying gear then a year pass ha ha ha. I love how serious you guys take some things ha ha ha. Let's all watch the debt price go up ha ha ha it's a fun game. [Tongue]

I am never against license increase hunting or fishing as long as the money is going back into the resource that it should be benefiting from. With that being said if the money just goes into the general fund then I am absolutely 100% against any increase as it does no good to the resource!
[signature]
sounds alright cause a lot of us get two pole permits anyways for more when you have a combo.
sounds good to me[cool].
