In the last year I have gotten into building custom fly rods. So far I have built 7 rods. 3 for other people and 4 for myself. Each one has gotten better and I have learned alot. I have learned most from just watching youtube videos but seem to only find basic videos. Anyone out there that builds rods have any recommendations for books our there that might help me take my rod building to the next level?

Not sure where you're at but I know Roger at Portneuf River outfitters does a rodbuilding class and is excellent about answering questions and helping out where possible. If nothing else I'd give him a call and pick his brain a bit.

I think lots/most fly shops would be a good place to ask around about rodbuilding, if they don't do it themselves they are bound to know guys that do or have clients that do.
